Drug Rehabilitation Services – Australia
Substance abuse is often linked to issues of self-esteem and poor life experiences. Our aim is to allow individuals to re-build their self-esteem and to re-connect with their environment by living through positive experiences and not just by talking about it. Change can only result from positive proactive behaviour.
Our treatment programs run over a six or twelve month period as current research indicates that most addicted individuals need at least three months in treatment to significantly reduce or stop their drug use and that best outcomes occur with even longer durations of treatment. Our treatment program involves two stages; three months of live-in full-time rural residential care followed by three or nine months of supportive rehabilitation.
Treatment Program
The three month residential care program is provided in remote rural locations far away from the client’s usual environments and where individuals will acquire practical life and farming skills in a supportive therapeutic community context. Our rural locations provide authentic opportunities for individuals to reconnect with nature and to gain perspective on life and on self-worth in a drug free environment promoting positive life habits and work responsibilities. During this period outside contact and visits are restricted to immediate family and supportive others only.
Supportive rehabilitation involves three or nine months of regular follow-up contact with the client to establish a Case Management and a Self-Help Program. Case Management involves the development of a personal care plan that focuses on relapse prevention, advocacy and referral to support services. The Self-Help Program involves introduction to social support networks such as Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Al-Anon Family Groups.
Our model is based on leading current research and incorporates the gradual assuming of responsibility within the therapeutic community to enhance self-worth.
*Individuals must be drug free for a minimum of seven days prior commencing residential care. The use of alcohol or any illicit substances while in residential care is strictly prohibited.
Admission & Costs
As we have residential care facilities throughout Australian there is often no waiting period. Intake sizes are always restricted to less than five participants to ensure the provision of goal orientated services.
We also realize that it is often costs which prohibit individuals from accessing appropriate assistance and therefore we have structured our costs to be approximately 50% less than other treatment programs both within Australia and overseas. The cost for the six or twelve month programs are $15,000 and $18,000 plus GST respectively. Our services and costs are fully transparent and there are no further “hidden costs”. Once you have complete the Intake Application and your placement confirmed an invoice will then be provided. Please go to: INTAKE APPLICATION
